WWE Smackdown Episode Summary:-

The Smackdown took place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This was officially the last WWE Smackdown on FOX TV. From September 13, it formally moves to its old home, USA Network. Hence, Today was an exciting episode of Smackdown. Let's dive deep into it:

The show started with Cody Rhodes entering the ring for his faceoff with Solo Sikoa. Cody began by appreciating the Canadian crowd. He continued how his dear friend, Kevin Owens helped him to explore the city. He then calls out the bloodline. Solo with his Bloodline enters. He demanded a title match for Cody as he could not win at Survivor Series due to the interference of Roman Reigns. Cody offers the title match but to Jacob Fatu instead. As tensions escalate, Cody agreed to Solo's demand for the Undisputed WWE Championship next week at Smackdown's season premiere. Then the Bloodline entered the ring but Street Profits and DIY came in Cody's support to prevent the brawl. Nick Aldis then officially announced that he is pissed off with this numbers game and hence Cody vs Solo would be in a steel cage match.

 Now was the time for the first match of tonight's Smackdown, the returning Bayley vs Tiffany Stratton.
The match involved a good amount of wrestling sequences from both wrestlers. Stratton dominated the game in the beginning and also hit moves like Alabama Slam. But her overconfidence didn't last long as Bayley took the momentum. Nia Jax, WWE Women's Champion, interfered to help Stratton. But instead, Bayley took the advantage and hit Rose plant on Stratton to get the win. 


Next up was the debut of Giovanni Vinci. The referee rang the bell as Giovanni takes forever to take his jacket off. Apollo quickly hit the rolling crucifix to get the win in just 3 seconds. This was a very short match.


In the next match, Kevin Owens faced off against Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in a thrilling triple-threat match. This action-packed bout saw Owens endure double-team tactics from Theory and Waller who are currently on a tag-team run. But their alliance didn't last long leading to chaotic moments between the three competitors. At last, Owens picked up the win after hitting a stunner to Theory. After the match, Theory and Waller attacked Owens in retaliation.


In the upcoming segment, LA Knight took center stage delivering a promo about his United States Championship defenses. However, his promo got interrupted by none other than, Carmelo Hayes. Hayes wanted a title match with LA Knight. But before Knight would respond, Andrade came in to join the other two wrestlers. The segment ended when a brawl broke out, with LA Knight hitting BFT on both Andrade and Carmelo Hayes.

The next match saw a face-off between Chelsea Green and Michin. The match was quite boring and a short one. Chelsea Green defeated Michin after a distraction from Piper Niven.

In the next segment, The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa) took on The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) and #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) in an intense eight-man tag team match. The match was a hard-hitting one. Both teams consistently attacked each other to get their team a win. Jacob stole the limelight from all the other participants, hitting brutal moves with excellent in-ring work. In the end, Solo Sikoa secured the win for his team by hitting Montez Ford with the Samoan Spike for the pinfall victory. The match added to the ongoing tension between The Bloodline and their challengers, showcasing the dominance of Sikoa and his Bloodline.
