Welcome to the results of WWE Smackdown. Tonight was the Season Premiere of Smackdown as Smackdown officially moved to its previous home, USA Network. The Smackdown was hyped up by the WWE  as one of the best shows this year. The major matches included Cody Rhodes vs Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship, KO, and Mystery Partner vs Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. Let's find out the highlights and Results:-

WWE Smackdown Highlights

WWE Smackdown started with a new and better Intro and theme song. Triple H kicked off the season premiere of WWE Smackdown. Hyping up the smackdown, Triple  H said his famous catchphrase, "Are you Ready?". After that, the steel cage went down to start the kickoff match.

Cody Rhodes faced Solo Sikoa in a high-stakes match inside a steel cage. It was a hard-fought match and we saw both men bring out their best. Sikoa hit several hip attacks as he continued pouring it onto Rhodes and busting Cody's head on the steel cage, making Rhodes bleed throughout the match. But Cody countered with a Cross-Rhodes of his own and could not make the pin after Solo kicked out. At one point, Cody tried to leave the cage but Sikoa hung on his boot and pulled him in, nearly hitting him with a Samoan Spike. But in a climactic moment, Rhodes answered with one more Cross-Rhodes and won to keep his Undisputed WWE Championship.

                                         

After the match, The Bloodline's Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa and Jacob Fatu attacked Cody Rhodes. Roman Reigns theme song hits and he gets involved in the match, causing a wild brawl inside the cage that could possibly lay the groundwork for a showdown down the road between Rhodes and The Bloodline. After clearing The Bloodline, we saw a staredown between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

In the next match, Michin defeated Piper Niven after countering Niven's powerful offense. This was a very short match. After the match, Chelsea Green took down Michin to take revenge for her partner's loss. Michin was unable to do anything due to the number's game. At last, Chelsea Green made a statement by hitting her finisher 'Unpretty-her' on a trash can, thus solidifying her position in the women's division.

In the next match, Kevin Owens and his mystery partner took on A- Town Down Under's Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. The mystery partner was revealed as Ricky, whom Kevin called when he knew that his original partner was late. Thankfully his mystery partner arrived just before the start of the match and the mystery partner was none other than Randy Orton. The match started with A Town Down Under taking the upper hand on Owens and not allowing him to tag Randy Orton. Then KO used his incredible logical ability of getting out of the ring and going to Orton to tag him in the ring. Randy Orton the cleared the house, beating both opponents. In the end, Orton and KO hit RKO and Stunner, respectively, to get the win.

In the next match, Andrade and Carmelo Hayes locked their horns in an epic 5th bout. Hayes was ruthless as he started beating Andrade before the match. Andrade then countered Hayes with his moves before hitting his nailing signature running knees strikes in the cover. Andrade on the top of the ring corner managed to counter Carmelo's attack by hitting him with a huge Twisting neck breaker and pinned Melo to take the lead at 3-2. LA Knight came to address the win of Andrade, telling him that he just earned the opportunity for a match with him for the US title. But he will face the same fate as everybody else in the locker room.

The next segment was a short one, with Nia Jax lauding herself for her Championship reign and that no one can beat her in this locker room. Bayley interrupted Nia stating that she wanted a title rematch without any interference from Tiffany Stratton. Then comes Tiffany Stratton and Naomi one after the other, which sets a tag team match next week for the title shot at the Women's championship.

In the main event, Roman Reigns came to address the situation that who is his mystery partner. However, he reiterated he does not need Cody Rhodes or anyone else to get into his Family Business and he wanted to deal with it himself. It is his WWE and his show. He also said whether the Ula Fala is with him or not, he is the Only Tribal Chief(OTC). Cody Rhodes comes out and says that it was his WWE but since Wrestlemania, the landscape has changed. Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu comes out to confront Roman and Cody. But Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa attacked from behind, beating both Roman and Cody. However, Cody countered Tonga Loa's attack helping Roman to counter Tama Tonga's attack. After clearing the Tonga brothers, Roman signs the contract with Cody also signing the contract as his partner, which means Cody's story with Bloodline is far from over. The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu will now face off against Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes in a Tag Team Match.
